The Omer represents a period of forty-nine days linking Passover to Shavuot, symbolizing the transition from redemption in Egypt to the revelation at Sinai. It mirrors the interval between the barley and wheat harvests in ancient Israel, with an omer being a unit of measure for grain. Each night during this period, the count of days is performed with a blessing known as "Sefirat HaOmer." According to Kabbalistic tradition, these days correspond to the purification of specific divine qualities within oneself, referred to as "Sefirot." The app meticulously tracks these associations while including daily quotes and reflections.

The counting of the Omer has been a practice tied to Jewish mysticism since the Middle Ages and carries significant spiritual meaning. Moreover, there exists a contemporary custom based on the Sefirot and Omer count, where individuals also tally the days between Tisha B'Av and Rosh Hashanah.
